Then we went to the Carlsbad Caverns. The plates were burned some years ago by a massive fire that burned the whole area.

This guy, Jim White, found these caverns as a boy and explored them for 2 weeks straight.

He mapped out whatever he found in there and took hold of operating the guano business.

There is a section called the Bat Cave, where White got the guano and made a fortune selling it.

The money he made, he put into preserving the caves.

You can't tell where is what in these photos.
